PhD Program of the Otto Creutzfeldt Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience

The PhD program of the Otto Creutzfeldt Center offers multi-disciplinary training in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience. The program consists of obligatory and optional courses provided by members of the center and other university faculties. It is open to outstanding graduates from the fields of Medicine, Psychology, Biology, Sports Science, Physics, and related subjects from Germany and abroad.

Current Reading Groups

  • Biological Psychology: Mondays at 2 p.m. in Fl 310b (Fliednerstr. 21). Relevant keywords are predicition, statistical learning, fMRI, EEG (cognitive neuroscience) ... You can also suggest papers related to other topics. For this, you should send an e-mail to Daniel Kluger until Wednesday evening.
  • Movement Science: Lab Journal Club, Fridays 8.30-9.30 h, „Denklabor“, Horstmarer Landweg 50, Room 210. Papers are related to topics covered within the lab, but are also concerned with more general issues (predictive coding). Contact Lena Slupinski if you are interested.
  • Neurophysiology: The reading group will cover more low-level topics in systems neuroscience (neurotransmitter and unit recordings). Contact Achim Walter if you would like to join.
