Ten Years of PharMSchool

The interdisciplinary teaching project PharMSchool started ten years ago. In the meantime, the Pharmschool has become one of the flagship projects of the Westphalian Wilhelms University Münster (WWU) and is an integral part of pharmacy studies. In the PharMSchool, pharmacy students get together in small groups at the beginning of their main studies and are assigned a topic related to pharmaceuticals, on which they conduct interdisciplinary research with self-developed project ideas during the laboratory practicals.

The Pharmschool is now one of the flagship projects of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (WWU) and has become an indispensable part of pharmacy studies. In the Pharmschool, pharmacy students get together in small groups at the beginning of their main studies and are assigned a drug-related topic on which they conduct interdisciplinary research with self-developed project ideas during the laboratory practicals. In order to avoid additional work for the students, 20 percent of the regular practical training time is released for pharmschool experiments. Unlike in the regular internship, there is no prefabricated script for these, but the students develop their own ideas for experiments.
