Poster Award for Mr. Boris Mo
On the occasion of the annual meeting of the German Society for Phytotherapy from June 15 to 17, 2023 in Bamberg (Germany), Mr. Boris Mo (Institute for Pharmaceutical Biology and Phytochemistry) was awarded with a poster prize.
His research on the topic "N-glycans of Tamm-Horsfall protein: sex-dependent and modulable by Equisetum avense extract? - A mass spectrometric study" show in detail the glycosylation pattern of THP formed in the kidney, which is part of the innate immune system. In addition, gender-dependent glycosylation is described for the first time. Furthermore, it has been shown that THP induction after 7 days oral administration of horsetail extract (Equisetum arvense) also leads to significantly different glycosylation patterns of THP.
