Women in pharmaceutical management positions

Panel discussion on the topic of "Women in pharmaceutical leadership positions"

On this evening, we would like to give female students in semesters 5-8 the chance to exchange views on topics that catch up with many of us sooner or later and that may even now be influencing our own decisions. This certainly includes topics such as "Reconciling family and career", "How does self-employment work out", "How do I network successfully", "How do I negotiate with employers about part-time models, home office or similar", ....... The background of our idea is that although women are clearly overrepresented in studies, only a few ladies find themselves in full-time positions, responsible positions/leadership positions afterwards.

We have invited three discussion partners to the discussion evening who will talk about their own career paths, about the personal compatibility of family and career and, of course, also about setbacks, and who will be happy to answer the questions of the participants. The three ladies come from the three main pharmaceutical fields of activity "public pharmacy", "science" and "industry":

• Mrs. Overwiening, who is certainly known to many as President of the ABDA and the Chamber of Pharmacists of Westphalia-Lippe, also runs her own pharmacies in Reken.
• Dr. Waltering has chosen science and works as a research associate in the field of clinical pharmacy.
• Dr. Huster is managing director of the medium-sized pharmaceutical company "Rottendorf" in Ennigerloh.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Elisa Fanz, a communication and rhetoric trainer who may have been seen as an expert on Quarks & Co or on phoenix. After the event (approx. 90 min) there will be a small get-together in the foyer with snacks and drinks.
