Extension of the Research Training Group "Chembion"

The German Research Foundation approves the continuation of the Chembion Research Training Group at the University of Münster. The program for research into ion channels receives around 4.5 million euros.

Graduation ceremony 2nd State Examination Pharmacy

19th PharMSchool Symposium

On the occasion of the 19th PharMSchool Symposium, the PharmaCampus gathered representatives from research, teaching and industry in Münster on June 16, 2023. Under the theme "Common Diseases", six student groups presented their research results of the last four semesters to the professional audience.

Poster Award for Boris Mo

On the occasion of the annual meeting of the German Society for Phytotherapy from June 15 to 17, 2023 in Bamberg, the poster contribution of Mr. Boris Mo (IPBP) was awarded a poster prize. The topic: "N-glycans of Tamm-Horsfall protein: sex-dependent and modulable by Equisetum arvense extract? - A mass spectrometric study".

Sunday tours of the medicinal plant`s garden

On 30.04.2023, Prof. Thomas Schmidt will open the garden year 2023 in the Medicinal Plant's Garden with the first public Sunday guided tour . The tour starts at 10 am and lasts approx. 2 hours. Admission is free, a voluntary donation is possible. Due to the limited number of participants, we ask for online registration.

On 26.4.2023, the ceremonial graduation of the graduates of the 2nd State Examination in Pharmacy took place at the PharmaCampus of the University of Münster. 48 students successfully passed the state examination this spring. Due to "its rich use in history and the present and the great potential for further research", the interdisciplinary study group on the history of development of medicinal plant science at the University of Würzburg has chosen the sage. of Medicinal Plant Science at the University of Würzburg has chosen sage (Salvia officinalis L.) as the medicinal plant of the year 2023.

Ceremonial farewell of pharmacy students

On December 9, 2022, the farewell ceremony for pharmacists who passed the 2nd Pharmaceutical Examination took place as part of an academic graduation ceremony. In the current year 2022, 126 graduates have successfully completed the second stage of the pharmaceutical examination ("2nd state examination") in Münster. We congratulate them!

An Evening discussion

On 10th October 2022, a discussion evening on the topic of "Women in Pharmaceutical Leadership Positions" will take place at 5.30 pm in the large lecture hall of the PharmaCampus. The event is aimed specifically at (post)-doctoral students and female students in the 7th and 8th semesters of pharmacy. Three discussion partners will answer the audience's questions on the topics of "Compatibility of family and career", "Career planning", etc.

Ten Years of PharMSchool

The interdisciplinary teaching project PharMSchool started ten years ago (15th Oct 2012). In the meantime, the Pharmschool has become one of the flagship projects of the Westphalian Wilhelms University Münster (WWU) and is an integral part of pharmacy studies. In the PharMSchool, pharmacy students get together in small groups at the beginning of their main studies and are assigned a topic related to pharmaceuticals, on which they conduct interdisciplinary research with self-developed project ideas during the laboratory practicals.

Presentation of certificates and festive farewell ceremony

On 24 May 2022, the farewell ceremony for pharmacists after passing the second pharmaceutical examination, which has become a good tradition in Münster for many years, took place in a festive setting - and finally in presence again. How long had the students and members of the university waited to meet again in the context of an academic ceremony, to discuss, to celebrate. Before the academic celebration, they met for the obligatory group photo in front of the PharmaCampus.

The large-scale floor sculpture "Untitled (Sculpture for the Chemical Institutes)" by the artist Matt Mullican (* 1951), conceived for the 1987 Sculpture Projects (Münster), was ceremonially inaugurated at its new location "Inner Courtyard PharmaCampus" on Thursday, 14.10.2021 after extensive restoration and reinstallation.

Exhibition "Innere Welten" at the PharmaCampus

From May 24-June 22, 2016, the exhibition of the Excellence Cluster "Cells in Motion" of Münster University took place in the foyer of the PharmaCampus. The 27 colorful images had previously been seen by more than 13,000 visitors in Dominikanerkirche in Münster's city center.
